Featured Replies

:confused:hi in bit of a dilemma ordered new octavia elegance been told that it will be 12 to 14 weeks but the dealer has offered me a superb s dont know which way to go:confused:

It depends what size car you want!

You know what size an Octavia is, a Superb is considerably bigger & heavier.

Questions that you should consider are:

1/ What's the engine size?

2/ What trim is it?

3/ What's the insurance premium?

4/ Will it fit in the garage?

5/ Is it going to attract the wrong sort of attention? (Something that put me of a vRS!)

6/ Do I need a large car like the Superb?

You may want to consider fuel economy & CO² emissions, as they affect the amount of RFL you pay a year.

Do you like your convenience toys? Such as Cruise, Xenons etc, it may well be a good idea to compare the specifications of both of them side by side first.

I gave all of the above apart from Q4 & Q6 to work out that the 1,8 Elegance was the right car for me.

Have you test driven them both? Someone was saying in this post that there isn't much difference between them now! I think Superb sounds better, and looks better than the latest Octavia - although I drive an Octavia Mk1!
