swg motorsport race diagnostics octy 2

Featured Replies

hi there i know this isnt strictly a group buy but it could be. i called swg motorsport the other day to see if they did a race diagnostics kit for octavia 2, he said i was the first to ask and that if i scourced 15 people he would get a prototype of the airvent made up for mounting it in the drivers side dash.

its pointless me rabbiting on aout what this is, if youre not sure log on to swg motorsport and you will see them on there. its a small multifunction lcd screen which does alot of cool stuff. my favorites, boost gauge, bhp/torque graphs, accelerometer for 0-60 times 1/4 miles etc, other live ecu reading i think and also read and erase fault codes. it probably does more but thats enough for me to want one:thumbup:. swg make custm heater vents that the screen sits in, kina like a boost gauge vent pod. and as far as im aware you just plug it into your obd port. prices are about £200 for other models, so im hoping if we got 15 guys together we coulds get a good deal on a sweet peice of kit neatly housed in you heater vent.

let me know what you think,

cheers

Interesting indeed. Would need to see the quality of the screen up close and in daylight/bright sun etc. Nice option - especially if it allowed VCDS like activities with the right apps installed!!

Let us know how you get on with the prototype.

if you go on awesome gti they are doing a similar product called liquid cube, i think its identical but doesnt come in a sweet vent pod, they have videos of it in action.

Or you could go direct to the organ grinder.....

i might ask what they could do, although its not getting a race diagnostic setup that is the problem, im more bothered about the vent pod/mount for it?
