Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd introduced myself and say hello.

I was previously an Alfa driver (yes my heart did rule my head) but because of a new job needed something more reliable and economical. After a great deal of thought I decided on an Octavia.

I came across this website and all my queries were answered. So thanks a lot guys for your help.

By the way yesterday I bought a 2005 plate Octy, 2.0 tdi Elagence with 50k miles. It was great fun going into the garage and teaching them the car had cruise control, jumbo box and Maxidot (none of which were on the advert).

I pick it up next week and I cant wait. My Alfa had a lovely interior, and I have to say the Octy is on par with it if not better.

Outback going, what next?

After dropping a wodge on the Outback for a new battery only for the tailgate issues to immediately recur and funnily enough for a internet search to suddenly (wasn't before) flag that there is a persistent and long standing Subaru issue with a parasitic battery drain via the telematics module. Basically the car continually tries to phone home and drains the battery, the tailgate control module is acutely sensitive to voltage meaning that if the car has sat for more than a day (sometime less) th

Hi folks, I'm finding the steering feel of the Superb somewhat lifeless, vague and far too light. Looking for your help to see what I can do to improve it Having owned 3 other VAG's (2 x Golf R's and 1 x Golf Alltrack) I'm used to the lack of steering feedback however, the Superb is the worst so far. Hi guys. I tried to code lane assist for my 2019 SUPERB FL using Icar pro Vgate and car scanner pro. Lane assist is showing on dashboard and in the options but it doesn't work. The icon is yellow, car displays message that it is not currently available. What did I miss... A5 camera is 2Q0980653. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks! Maybe there is someone with Obd11 in Shrewsbury area wilkingvto help if car scanner can't perform this coding?

Hi all, Anyone else getting repeat Infotainment updates that don't appear to be installing, I'm getting this problem on my 2024 Superbs Infotainment unit nearly every day, when I look on the Information tab I can see the updates and when it says they're installed, and a prompt to say the installation will be active the next time the car is started, so all looks correct. My recent (non-Skoda) cars have given dashboard warnings when the battery in the key fob runs down. This gives the driver the opportunity to change the battery and to keep the key functional. The battery in my Superb's key fob recently ran down, and it went from fully operational (working the button "plip" as well as the keyless entry) to completely flat during the course of a day at work.
