1.4 TSI pics

Featured Replies

I took some pics today around the engine bay of my O2 1.4 TSI 'S' whilst it's still shiny and new, inc. the ABS pump.

Good to see. How small is that engine though?! Looks minuscule compared with the 2.0T I'm more used to see in there....

There's an *astonishing* amount of plumbing going on. Everything seems to have a supply of coolant, refrigerant, oil or hydraulic fluid (or combinations). Maybe there's a new job? Car mechanic, car electrician and car plumber.

Can't spot any differences so far. I was looking yesterday for an engine bay photo but couldn't find any, so took these.

The aircon exchanger looks a bit vulnerable to stone chips, although it's 'protecting' the radiator in that position. I'm wondering about putting some protective fly mesh behind the lower grill.

My 1.4 TSi (supplied last May) has a different battery box to yours. It has a rigid plastic slide and clip on/off lid.

I think it's a water resistant cardboard box with some foam padding now. Weight saving? Cost saving? I'm more used to naked batteries with dead flies and leaves on the terminals, so this is relative luxury.
