Hi there

Ive been having some hesitation problems on my mk1 octavia vrs recently so i took the opportunity to pop over to the very heplful hedges house for him to plug my car in to his vag-com but the only fault that came up was this one for my climate control

1 Fault Found:

01274 - Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor (V71)

37-10 - Faulty - Intermittent

has anyone else had this problem or can anyone shed any light on this problem?

cheers

Do a search for recirc flap motor, common problem although I'm not sure how easy it is to fix, most people live with it

if its the one behind the glove box then it is easy to do

did you try to reset the flap motor??

cheers guys, ill do a search. im not to worry about getting it fixed if it doesnt effect anything on the car.

i think it has been reset but i had the same fault a year ago.

I changed mine, but you don't need to (nothing to do with the engine). Just annoyed me with the scratching/groaning noise that sounds like a rats trapped in the dash! Plus mine got to the stage where it made the aircon 'pulse' instead of giving a constant blow.

£78.83 from the dealers if this helps
