Just signed up 10 mins ago.

My wife has a 2001 Fabia 1.9TDI Elegance, which she owned from new.

Although it's hers, i look after and wash it for her.

What a great little car it is, and with the diesel engine, pretty quick

We've been together 4 years and there's been hardly any probs with it other than power steering sensor failure couple of years ago.

However on Wednesday, her back windscreen shattered for no obvious reason :confused:

By the way, Auto Windscreens wanted £460 to replace it :eek:

Got it done for £160 from local company:D

However, now the tailgate won't lock. The people who replaced the screen reckon glass has got into the lock mechanism?

i've had a good look and the tailgate bit looks fine, and the bit it goes into seems to be ok.

Any ideas guys would be appreciated, before i take it to a garage.
