temperature gauge

Featured Replies

Well lads,

The temp gauge on my '99 octy tdi 90bhp used always sit exactly 2mm to the right of half way when fully warm.

lately though, it wont get that far unless its a very warm day. now it doesnt seem to go any higher that 3/8ths the way up the gauge.

is this just the temp sender to the clocks? i dont really think its the thermostat because it seems to warm up as usual...but i could be wrong though.

Any help lads?

Thanks

Is the fuel guage still reading correctly? I'd suspect the sender if it is, but it's more likely the instument PCB if it's not.

Yup, everything else is working perfectly....MFA,fuel,speed,revs etc.

Are the two senders colour coded like the old golfs? Blue for ecu temp and white for clocks temp?

Cheers
