Hope your well. Thought i'd sign up to the forum. Have a burning question to ask, but not sure its the right place for it.

I currently have an MG ZR TD (you love them or hate them :eek:) which is great fun, but now looking for either a Skoda Fabia vRS or a Golf GT TDi 130 hoping to still bring some smiles.

The question is which is the best of the two. According to Parkers performance is about equal, but from what i've read this may not be the case. The Golf has a nicer interior and more of an 'image' but is more expensive. The Fabia is potentially faster, less common and better to drive, but has less resale (?) and a not so nice interior!

I know you guys love your Skoda's and quite rightly so, but wondered if anyone could offer some unbiased feedback.

My budget is 6k with 60,000 miles and for that you can get a 05 Fabia or 52/03 Golf GT.

go for the fabia mate its a bit more tuneable than the golf imo
