Aftermarket Cruise Control and/or Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Has anyone else considered this..? My girlfriend has just picked up her 59 reg Punto Eleganza - It has loadsa toys and I'm well jealous! Having driven it on the motorway yesterday, the cruise control was such a bonus to have - I really would love to have this on my Octy VRS, have been considering it for a while. Has anyone had it fitted after purchase of vehicle - Any suggestions, prices etc? Have had mine re-mapped so will that make any difference - Don't wanna damage the ECU or anything. The other thing was parking sensors, have managed three years of ownership without damaging the rear but they would also be nice to have (although I do think it spoils the look of the car, slightly!) Cheers!

A remap would not effect crusie control. Crusie control is a common option on the VRS and you can get it fitted at dealers or other garage for around £175 to £250 (including parts)depending on where you go.

You can also buy the kit on ebay other car parts online for anything upwards of £70.

You get instructions to do this as a DIY, but requires VAGCOM to activate it, so not a job for the inexperienced DIYer

Reversing sensors was another optional extra for the VRS and can still be purhcased from Skoda and dealerships will fit this. Not sure on the cost. You can also get very similar aftermarket ones from again ebay and other motor factors.

I have a set on mine that came pre painted same colour as the car for less than £30.

Look very standard looking.

Easy to fit and they typically come with a drill bit and instructions. Took me 30min to do it. Would not be without them now.
