Octavia vRS - 7 Speed DSG?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know for sure if the vRS is available with the 7 Speed DSG?

The latest brochure available on the UK site says that it is, but when I looked at the international site it looks like it isn't!

The 'dry' 7 speed DSG is only used with the 1.4TSi, 1.8TSi and the forthcoming 1.2TSi. The maximum torque for it is 250Nm. Hill hold control comes as standard on all 7 speed DSGs.

Looks like yet another brochure ****-up ???

Don't take that brochure as gospel - it would not be the first error. The 7 speed's max. is 250Nm (VAG's words not mine) and the vRS produces 280Nm. Someone on here must have ordered one and should be able to confirm.

Thanks for the replies. I'll contact my local dealer tomorrow to see if they can give a definitive answer...although it does look like an error in the brochure.

I was hoping it did have the 7 Speed DSG, as this seems to be better than the 6 Speed based on the comments I've read on the forums.

they dont make the TFSi any more, its now the TSi

Just spoke to my local dealer (West End Garage, Broxburn), he confirmed that the vRS comes with the 6 Speed DSG.
