Featured Replies

I signed the contract for my Yeti this afternoon

It's a 140 TDI 4x4 in Experience spec. with the following extras:

-park assist

-sun-set windows

-panorama roof

-parking heater (diesel powered)

-columbus navigation

-sound system

-electricaly adjustable drivers seat with memory

-3 spoke multi function steering wheel

-telephone bluetooth

-MDI

All covered in Mato Brown shining paint

Haven't got the build week yet, but I'm hoping I'll get it soon!

Will post when I know the week.

The Norwegian importer says normal delivery on 140 tdi and 160 petrol is from 10-12 weeks. Choosing Amundsen sat nav would delay the delivery according to our importer, so I forked out for a Columbus instead:eek:

Sounds a great spec; went for the TDI 140 like me in the end.

Just found out from my dealer that my SE 140 is on the production line this week (WK42) having been brought forward from WK45. Hope to see it mid November latest, which is not to bad having ordered in WK39.

That sounds like good news :) , I hope I'm as lucky when it comes to how long it takes before the car enters production.

Yes I did decide on the 140 diesel after a longish test drive of the 1.8 petrol.. Loved the engine character and performance, but did not like it's thirst. With the petrol prices in Norway being higher than diesel I could not justify buing the petrol powered one.

I've had a few short runs with the 140 diesel, and found it to be OK. Quiet for a diesel, plenty of shove even if it isn't hungry for revs like the 1.8 and at least according to the MFA / Maxi-dot it can be driven quite economically.. I'm so looking forward to getting my new Yeti :) :)

There must be lot's of people waiting for the smaller engines... I ordered mine yesterday, and today my salesman informed me that my car is scheduled for build in week 44!! That is pretty fast! I must say I'm very impressed if this turns out to be correct :)

I know from the French forum that they have stepped up production a bit but that's some going. Should be with you by December, remember to send some nice pic's.:D

Oh I was wondering what does Experience spec in Norway come with as standard.

I was kind of hoping, but not expecting to get the Yeti in time for christmas, so if everything goes according to plan I'll be very happy by December

The spec levels in Norway are: Active, Ambition and Experience with Experience being the top spec.

The list of standard equipment is pretty extensive, so I'll just try to list the stuff that the two other does not have as standard:

- warmed up windscreen fluid nozzles (not sure about the spelling..)

-rain and light sensor/ auto wipers

-Bi-Xenon AFS lights

-painted wing mirrors with puddle lights.

-light assistant / coming and leaving home

-dual radio antennas

-roof rails in silver finish

-front fog lamps with "corner function"

-Dolomite 17"

-sunglass storage compartment

-Climatronic

-Cruise Control

-Hill hold

-"Cosmic" interior decor strip

-auto dimming interior mirror

-Maxi-dot

-adjustable lumbar support in both front seats

-"small leather package" : leather lined steering wheel, handbrake lever and gear kn0b plus gear lever gaiter

-center arm rest with aux contact

-off road button (4x4 models)

-heated front seats

-storage compartment under front seats

-Swing radio/CD with 8 speakers

-"Dune" fabric seat upholstery

All the safety gear like ESP, seven airbags ect. is standard on all Yeti cars in Norway.

I wish I could afford leather seats, and I think it should come as standard on the top spec model, but it costs 19000 NOK or about 2000£ and that was to much for me.

I think I will be pretty happy even without the leather seats

Leather is standard on our Elegance; flash over function from SUK again, gives them an excuse to charge more.

Personally I have not always found leather car seats comfortable; although the Snow-monsters I have travelled in so far have all had this trim and been OK.

Be interesting to see how the cloth seats in my SE compare (without lumber); think they the same as in the Ambition.

I have leather for first time, in my Golf GTi. They are okay, but much prefer the heated seat option they are quipped with. So heated cloth seats are on my Yeti's option list... Well I am getting on in years....
