seat belt anchor

Featured Replies

Could someone advise how the seat belt anchorage is fitted to the front seats, the black and red bit the belt clicks into, my passenger one has split the black casing and the joining clips have snapped off, and I have had to use some insulation tape to keep it together, the mechanism is still OK

I know on my last car (not a Skoda) the drivers one with spring too went and you had to take out the seat to replace the whole lot seat belt pre tensioners and anchorage under seat > cost was near £300 for bits alone!

So I took to bits the black anchorage case, replaced all the springs with a new ones from local hardware store and then re did the clips by get a new case from a local scrap yard then glued it up. All worked and i would say stronger than before with glue!

Maybe you could try this if with the Skoda seat belt casing you have to get with the pre tensioners too.

James.
