New vRS TFSI

Featured Replies

I am looking to come back to Skoda ownership after 3 years. The deals available on the vRS seem very good. I have checked the DTD quotes and although it is some £1200 cheaper still than the Vat free offer, my trade-in price is very good too so may still go with the dealer.

Question is, what is the best spec to go for ? Intention is Leather, Sat Nav, Xenons, Black paint as a base spec.

1) What's the verdict on Leather against the standard cloth/alcantara ?

2) Does Anthracite look any good ?

3) Any other essential options to tick that I might ignore ?

Thanks any help.

Hi,

May i recommend you ring Jeremy Taylor at RAINWORTH Skoda Mansfield 01623 623400. He is a very nice chap & will do a belting deal for you, well worth a call.

Good luck.As for spec that is your personal choice really.

I'm kicking myself for not ordering Maxi Dot. Ask anyone on this site and im sure they will tell you how brilliant it is.

Black with full leather will look very nice, Xeneons are always a good option just found them expensive myself.

Anthracite look awesome and IMO the best colour, very understated if thats your thing.

I'll not go on about the DtD prices but suffice to say the garage should come close or just go to DtD. In your case you really need a 'price to change' so as long as thats good then go ahead. Anyway, to your other points:-

1. ?

2. Are you sure that colour is available in a FL vRS?

3. Maxidot & spare wheel are essentials - the rest is up to you but auto lights etc is a good one to have

Thanks guys.

I didnt like the white panels in the seats on my Fabia but the new octavia ones arent so bright. The dealer reckons the standard ones are grippier therefore better if being driven fast/on track. Thats why I asked your opinion.

I will give that dealer a go and see best i can get - thanks info.

I have a price from DtD and an online sale price for my trade-in so can use that for a better price.

Anthracite is now a definite colour on the FL vRS.

Maxidot ? If I am getting the Sat Nav screen and the vRS states 'Trip Computer' isnt that covered ?

Thanks

Check with the dealers and see what they offer you, online prices are way out compared to what dealers. In fact, none of the dealers I visited with budge from an absured price.

1. Dunno but I think the standard seats look better

2 Visit a showroom and make your own mind up! I think it looks good if a little bland.

3. Columbus includes maxidot. Get spare wheel and I would say reversing sensors and xenons at min.

Also add the rear parking sensors and if it isn't standard these days, I'd add sunset glass (particularly if you go for the estate).
