Is this called forward by SKODA, or is it just a wise buyer asking for it?

Can you ask for such a thing and is it free?

Or are you expected to have kept on top of any faults as they present before the warranty expires

End of warranty coincides with first MOT. So put car into dealer for MOT a couple of weeks before the warranty expires. Wont cover the dreaded wear and tear stuff, but anything major that's a warranty item will be replaced FOC.
