380 views and only 2 people taking this one up??

I'll extend this group buy.. now fikes75 and RobClubley have taken the plunge, there must be some more interest!!

Yeah come on people :D You know you want more horsepowers and torques!

Do you have them in stock now?

  • Author

fikes75's will be with him by the end of the week, I haven't ordered any others in yet but will be doing shortly. I don't want to have 10 of them sat here with no homes to go to!

Fair enough :D

Will contact you after payday about payment for mine :D

This sounds interesting. Would it be possible to ship the unit to another country? tnx

Yes, absolutely. So long as you have a PC with internet access, it's no problem where you are (RobClubley is the other side of the world :))

Is this similar to the bluefin??

  • Author

Yes, the principle is the the same

Come on ladies and gentlemen ,you know you want one, still spaces left ,.

Hi there,

Ive just got an 07 plate TDI VRS (PD), and i am really interested in this

Just wondered if this offer is still on at £375???

If so i have a few questions,

1) I take it there are no longer issues with the DPF, I commute from Durham (area) to Edinburgh on a monday morning and a friday night, so as you can guess i dont get much problem building up heat in the exhaust up on the A68, awsome road for overtaking!!!

2) will i get any problems with DMF and clutch, only reason i ask is I had a 03 Leon Cupra TDI before, i know it had a full milltek decat exhaust on and it was f***n quick so im guesin it had at least a stage 1 remap as well, but used to get loadsa flywheel resonance and went thro 2 clutches in 40k miles :thumbdwn: but that was before i got onto seatcupra.net and everyone was like 'dont boot it below 2k revs!!!'

thanks for your time

Yes indeed, the offer in still on provided that you get your order in before Monday!

DPF issues can happen on standard cars as much as remapped cars. The problems are mainly due to driving conditions not being conducive to performing a passive regeneration. There is an excellent article in Audi Driver magazine by Ben Williamson on this exact issue. However I wouldn't let it put you off having a remap done as there are many PD170s out there without issue.

As for DMFs and clutches.. it sounds like the Leon had been remapped and perhaps too aggressively so! You shouldn't really ever have to "drive around" a remap (within reason) but I can agree that you shouldn't rely on the lazy torque, especially of the 8v 1.9TDi, as it can put more stress on the drivetrain than is required, for the sake of dropping down a cog or two. I've had two very high mileage TDis and you should not be getting through clutches every 40k that's for sure! And you won't with our map.

Hope that helps  Stick your name down and get on board!

I would buy one but not avail for my new car at the moment.

I have had an email yesterday telling me that they are in the final stages of testing the CR and TSi routines and they should be ready in around two weeks. I won't hang anything on that at this stage, but hopefully it won't be long!

Hi Ben,

Are you doing a special offer price for the Fabia vRS map loaded onto the unit? (£275 + £99 on your site)

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi Mark

The pricing structure will be as you see on the website and as such the Fabia vRS map is actually (as near as dammit) going to be the same price. We will offer the STS as an added extra to a map, for an additional £150. For now though the unit is offered at £375 (or £374 indeed for the 1.9TDi!) + P&P for all vehicles regardless of which map comes with it providing we get the required 5 orders. I have had many enquiries personally but so far only fikes75 and RobClubley are confirmed.

Hope that makes sense!

Hi Ben/Shark_90, I am very interested in this offer, I have a 2001 Octavia Ambiente 1.9 Tdi 90bhp, is this something you can accommodate, I couldn't see it on your list (you list a pd 100), apologies if I am wasting your time with this query, if you can help me please forward details of projected improvements etc, I would ideally be interested in a standard upgrade with the ability to revert to standard and also a meatier tune for short duration bursts of fun.

Regards spool
