as i cant pick my fabia up until the end of the month :( im trying to fill my time looking into what can be done with it one thing that has crossed my mind is would a double din stero fit in it as there is a fair bit of space below the oe one ? if so a sat nav jobi could go in has any one done this ? or am i clutching at straws :confused:

Yeah, you can get double DIN in, but lose the cubby hole obvoiiusly.

Think you will need a small facia from Skoda or Halfords though. (skoda are usually cheaper oddly)

Will fit fine, as mentioned you need a facia adapter otherwise you get a thin gap above the headunit. The Skoda part is just a couple of quid, or the autoleads one from halfords is more than 3 times that price and doesnt fit very well.

I googled "double din" and found loads of different types. some were tv/dvds, some were cass/cd and some were multichangers, you could have a dvd touchscreen system in your motor for well under 200 quid if you look around.

Depends what you want really, Some I saw were over 1200 quid but there are loads to choose from round the 400 mark.
