I've e-mailed & pm'd you re brakes, did you get them or if you have what have I done to stop you talking to me ""only jolking I hope""

Went to Godspeed today, The AP 4 pot callip[ers have a larger pad area therefore should give better brakeing. Also IMO they look better than the red Brembo's

Ians prices include all the bits + hoses

What are your latest thoughts ?????

I'm off on hols friday am so would be interested in your thoughts before then

Stuart,

Not ignoring you, honest. The APs are the ones I'd go for, but that's my personal choice. I need a price for the APs, but haven't got one yet. I'd need him to do them as I reckon he'll need to use a different bell to get them to clear the standard wheels (gotta do this as buying 8 new wheels adds considerably to the cost).

Do you know if they take the same pads as the older design AP callipers? Its just that I can get my hands on some Performance Friction pads at a rather good price (hope the dent in them where they fell off the lorry doesn't effect performance :D ).

Might be worth looking at pad prices for the long term, assuming initial outlay isn't to different, but as I say, I'd personally go for APs.

Jon,

Thanks, Yep I think I agree, deffinately the AP's. Hes making the bells up to fit inside my new wheels which are 35 offset & I will have 12mm clearance from the spokes.

He has I belive recently done a similar set on a golf & they went in OK

He makes all the bells on site so if it can be done he can do it. I suggest you give him a call & discuss what you want or the best way to be sure is to take a wheel down to check

Re pads again you will need to ask Ian. All I know is the AP callipers take pads that are 20mm longer than the Brembo pads. Ive opted for Ferrodo 2500 but if yours fit & a big box full fell off the lorry I might well be interested in some "cheap pads"
