Seat-belt

Featured Replies

Hi folks,i pulled out my seat belt and it wont take it back in any one had this problem? how would i fix this and how much cheers

You don't say which seat belt, but assuming it is a front belt, there is a guide here (<-----Clicky:D) that shows how to remove the trim to get at the belt.

The belt itself may have got a twist in it which is preventing it going back or the reel has failed and needs replacing.

You can always get another from a scrapper, but for such a important safety device I would always get a new one if it is unserviceable.

I've no idea on price though, but your local stealers will give you an idea and then I suggest a web trawl. Jorily (<-----------clicky:D) would be a good place to start.

90 quid, or my head through the windscreen, i know what i prefer.

As said above, if you get from a scrappers, the p/tensioners could allready be fired, or could be damaged. I thought the general rule was if you have a crash, the seatbell must be replaced? [offtopic, i know]
