Dealer Deceit!

Featured Replies

yep ex Skoda fleet vehicle here( leased to a bank)... I spent four months trying to find a tdi estate private sale...gave up...then tried to find a non-ex Skoda car still no joy.

Am i happy with the car....Its simply the best car I've had, and i've got two years of unconditional warranty left. :1:

Beats the Fiesta i had a couple of years ago, after 6 weeks the gearbox died...

hmmmm do i see someone on here slagging of dealers there not trying to set me off again are they lol anyway time to fill up some screenwash bottles and tighten up some dustcaps.

Thanks for your repies,

The car I think was the worst kind of Hire car and had a lot of paintwork repaired(badly), it also had mechanical repairs(also done badly) tracking was miles out, foreign bodies in the heater, water leaks, creaks, rattles etc etc.

My point was the car was mis-sold to me, I did contact Skoda UK but to no avail, I also had Trading standards involved and contacted the Scottish motor trade assoc.(they are useless, sure they mainly represent the trade) and so on. In the end it seemed if the Deler stuck to the "No admission of liability" kick ther was nothing anyone could do.

The new Dealer continues to impress but I had to ask to see the new V5 even though the law has changed since I bought the original car and they are supposed to show you it by law now.

just found this thread and i'll say one thing that having done a little work for Europcar at Stansted Airport(in between other jobs),its where i had my first experiences of driving the new generation of Skoda's the cars get a very hard time, not just from the public but more of a hard time from the drivers who clean and fuel them.

i know because i used to thrash the **** off them!!!!!

Thanks for your repies' date='

Jason ...............isn't this your car now ?...

That is well on top! :< i hope it wasnt from horners bury as im awaiting a vrs.

They was well on the ball when I got my new car from them (salesman even gave my wife a Skoda teddy - (She collects Teddy bears, I know no big deal cost wise, but a nice gesture)), As dealers I cant really fault them apart from the length of time it takes to get your car back in for any work to be done, its quite a wait (week or so - If you want a courtesey car)

its quite a wait (week or so - If you want a courtesey car)

try my dealer, when i turned up with my broken gearbox they told me no to bother about a courtesy car as there was a 3 week wait. that was 3 months ago and still no car :(

:edited to say it hasn't been 3 months waiting for a courtesy car but 3 months waiting for my car, and i still haven't a courtesy car cos it will be fixed soon*
