At the weekend i will be fitting my egr delete pipe in place. I have been told that i will need new piping to go between the egr and the smic. Now looking at the oem plastic pipe i think i'll need a 90* bend from the egr delete then a straight peice, then another 90* bend and i can leave the last bit plastic to save taking bumper off.

What i want to know is what have others done?

You wont 'NEED' new pipes, but it cant do any harm to upgrade them.

Id generally say, people that upgrade pipework, have already upgraded their cooler fella, so not sure if there are any SMIC out there, with upgraded pipe work.

Never popped off once mate

Done 6k hard miles like that with no issues

Exactly what i was after. Looks a bit of a bodge job though.

Unfortunately that was the best i could do. Couldn't move the car so had to join two jubilee clamps together and use a screwdriver to cut the metal collar off lol

But it works and thats all i'm interested in

i've ordered 2 x 90* bends and 1.2m of pipe to make up the whole section. Will post pics once done

It's on more than it looks The Allard buldges a bit at the end. Look closely at the pic u'll see how far on the pipe actually

My previous cars have had loadsa pikey mods lol, best one was my Clio 182, my BMC CDA on it was held up with household wire haha

Just going to put the pipe on like 'juego' has but cut it with a knife and not a screwdriver:rofl:, then sort it once i get home

:lol: I woulda cut it with a stanley knife but they were all over at my grandpa's in my dads toolbox. I don't advise a screw driver to cut it. It took me 25 minutes to cut it with it haha
