My 51 reg skoda fabia 1.4 16v started to have an 'issue' last week

On reducing speed on approaching junctions the revs would die and the car would stall. Meaning I have to quickly turn the ignition back on again to get the power back. Now obviously this is really dangerous as I lose power steering etc.

I had it to two garage who said it was becuase of the exhaust - wasnt convinced the first time so got a second opinion.

So in the last week I have had a new exhaust and cat fitted which didnt work. So then had the mapping sensor, two timing belts, a pulley, air filter renewed as well as having teh engine flushed. AND still its stalling!!

It makes a strange noise when turning on in the morning.

anyone have a clue whats wrong with it!!

Get it scanned with VCDS/VAG-COM. If that doesn't reveal anything, clean and re-align the throttle body.
