Change water pump and timing belt VRS

Featured Replies

Just thought that I would post this for folks info.

Service my 03 VRS other day and thought best to do timing belt and water pump as at 69000miles.

When I removed the water pump the impeller came out in bits, so get it changed before it to late!!

 Common problem but looks like you did it at the right time!

Mine was knackered after 49000, good advice

i had mine done not long back at 51000 . i was told to do it every 4 years or every 80000 miles .

mine hasnt been done in 9 years so i was pooing myself but the guy who did it say everything looked fine so was happy

i had mine done last month on my 04 vrs when it had done 70000 and when the water pump came off the plastic fins were loose in the hole and when touched the remaing fins they just fell to bit's. so definately should change the water pump the same time as the cam belt.

i had mine done on my 04 vrs last month at 70000, when the water pump was removed some of the plastic propeller was still in the hole and when i touched the rest in just fell to bit's. so would recommend changing the water pump the same time as the cam belt.

I strongly recommend changing the water pump at the same time as the cam belt
