Black Diamond Brake Discs & BD Predator Pads

Featured Replies

Well,

I have now completed fitting my new discs & pads... Thanks to all for their help in both choosing & fitting!

Obviously the brakes are still bedding in, but are beginning to bite a whole lot better. They have been on for about 4 days now, and I would say are performing at least as well as the stock parts... but with more progressive braking. I expect this to improve over the next week or so.

I may even take some pic's if anyone is interested!

It's a shame the discs don't stay black... mine are just manky now :)

(They're much better than standard brakes though, especially round a track)

Yeah, I was hoping they were black all the way through! What type did you go with? grooved/drilled/both?

Mine are both... not sure how much that helps if the driver is of my level! :s

:bump: Where did anyone get these discs from? I need four new ones all round. :(

Any other places to compare them with.

I got mine from Motorsport World, Jason - front and back discs and pads...

Apparently cross drilled discs crack....not sure under what circusmtance though.....however if the holes are cast then there's no problems...

Cross drilleds can crack, not done any myself though, maybe I just don't give them enough abuse? As for cast in holes, they can crack too, if you use them hard enough :D
