Alternator just gone wrong on a 02 fabia am just looking for rough costs to have a new one fitted if anyone has had this done recently,

About £190 at a dealer.

Be aware though that some are not down to the alternator , but a broken wire

I broke down on the M1 motorway , this was down to the alternator , so the AA guy told me

So bought a new one , fitted it and the light on the dash still did not work

A quick search on this great forum , found out exactly what it was

removed new alternator , repaired wire and all was working again

my Fabia is the 100PD
