Fitting New Flat Wipers

Featured Replies

Hi All - My 2002 Octavia Estate been very good so not needed your help for a while.

I bought some of the new flat wipers as replacements and cannot seem to get my head around fitting them. This job always makes me nervous and jittery - mainly I think to the plastic parts and being worried about snapping them! Feeble I know but there you go.

Can a kind soul advise?

them ones just clip in mate and a cover clips over the top, they are not bad but IMO they look crap as there is a large gap and it looks better with the std blades, the mk4 aero ones are the way to go mate and they are hidden away and the noise reduction is lots better too

good luck with it mate

Thank you so much - it was simple once I understood you lifted the flat part up, at first I really thought I had broken it! Duh!

I like the way they look and will wait with interest to see if they last well.

I got some like that at first off ebay but didnt like the large gap so I put the blades on my GF car and they are still going well after 14 months.

glad you sorted it mate.
