lack of comunication from dealer!!

Featured Replies

I think you need to go to the dealer, and speak to the sales manager, get some things in writing just to cover yourself and make it easier for you.

because i'd already paid deposit to manager and order was in with a good deal because of dsg **** up & i just thought i could hang on till it arrived without talking to them except when they phoned oct/nov to say it was here, then when it didn't arrive they said nov/dec and by that point i'd have to wait till god knows when to get it, i know what you mean though mate!!! looking back i should of gone the first time i met him but it is my local, i'd had good service from shaun with the Mk1 & Mk2 id got from them

i think somewhere along the line there has been a confusion gadgetman, i have got a PX and as i said in the post above yours they are sticking to it without the extra 2.5%, it's not about the money bud,

But:

here's my problem now, "x" has not settled on a figure on my car because of depreciation! he has never set a build, delivery date! i have paid deposit for a car i dont know precise figures & times on and am now really angry with "x" and dont like talking to him and have to try and pull info out of!

help me please before i scream!

Forgive me, but I am confused and TBH, this is sounding like a bit of a wind up.

they have now said they will hold the current deal exactly as it stands until car arrives so no 2.5% extra,

Dealer open on a Sunday evening??? :rotz:

no mate...honest, i spoke to the guy at 4 today, the figure you've highlighted is him saying he'd give me £12500 for mine but then saying.. oh well because you're waiting, if it's 2 months i might only be able to give you £12000 because of book price. its' not a wind up, have a look back at threads i've posted previously, really happy about the initial prospect of getting the car, honest!!! sorry for confusion

Ok mate, it just seems (to me anyway) the story is changing. We all want to help but its not looking all that clear.

To sum up my position on it, visit the dealer tomorrow, tell them you've lost confidence and ask for your deposit back. If their this bad before you got the car, what are they like once you've taken delivery!

If its about the long wait, chances are they did'nt put the order in and forgot, Jan for a Sept order is nuts, so again, cancel, get on DtD, get a low price, free delivery, job done.

So they forced you to order a car you didnt want spec wise?

What spec did you get meaning a factory order?

a PA wouldn't cook though eh, lol!!!!

I suppose we all have a view of what we would expect from a dealer when shelling out over 10k on a car, afrer hearing nice things about my dealer and speaking to a nice chap on the phone and paying my deposit all i have is my order form to show.

I had to chase them to find what my build week is, apart from that I have heard nothing else since 3-4 weeks ago, I myself am a bit peeved as i would expect a dealer to update a customer as its good customer service, i suppose though if there is nothing to update then you dont hear nowt from them.

Sounds about right to me - I ordered mine a week after the OP and I doubt I'll see mine before Jan given it's not due to be built until week 49.

I must admit though, I would have walked at the initial negotiations stage if the dealer wasn't listening to what I wanted.

my dealer was up fornt about delivery times before we ordered, we got a printed invoice with a full breakdown and a guaranteed p/x regardless of delivery time and an expected delivery date (which was 12 weeks)

4 days after the order we got the build week which was a lot sooner than expected, then when the car was built the dealer rang to confirm, they also rang to confirm when it was ready to go on the boat and when it arrived in the UK..it took longer to get from the UK port to the dealer than they expected but it was only a couple of days late..but the whole process from order to delivery was only 8 weeks for me so the dealer was very happy as he was able to get it registered in september and I was happy as I got my car a whole lot quicker than expected

but the important thing was they provided everything in writing up front and were very careful to make sure the spec was correct and listed before the order was made, I would expect somtehing in my hand if I had just ordered a car and wouldnt take the dealers word for it

Jan for a Sept order is nuts

Sounds right as it'd be 12 weeks. ;)
