All quiet on the track day front.

Featured Replies

Soot1e is getting very lazy languishing in the garage, he's been sleeping for 2 weeks now and I think he's gone into hibernation. I thought I'll wake him up and show him who's boss, so a track day beckons and it's a bit more local for me. Only £99

Anyone else want to join me?

Hoped this would appeal to the East Anglian contingent, Just off the A12 near Woodbridge.

Well, I went on Saturday and turned out to be a dry sunny day. I was the only Skoda there with Bob as my 2nd. driver. The circuit is a more twisty and challenging cct. than Hullavington and Colerne but with the knowledge your not going to hit any armcos or tyre walls as is any airfield cct. Loved the quick chicane with a quick flick of the steering wheel, right and left and to the right again then roaring off up the main straight. The usual mix of cars from novices in their road going non modified cars and real track day enthusiasts in Caterhams, Renaultsport Clios and a small contingent off MX5's, of course they had to give way to the superior VRS! A couple of Nissan 200 drift cars got told off for making the most of the damp early morning conditions by sliding around the corners, ohh, naughty boys! No waiting to get on the cct. so we spent almost the whole day on track, taking turns at the wheel of the Soot1e and just stopping to have lunch and a trip to fill up with diesel. The fun had to end at 4.15pm as it was getting dark.A little side show was watching a well modded Celica hit 203mph on the main runway.Didn't have time for photos as we were busy driving all the time, just one short video of Soot1e coming up in a couple of days. Hope see some of you Briskoda track day boys in the near future.

Only just visited the Track day Forum but a good write up Bernie

If Soot1e was hurt by the 2 weeks of inactivity he'll be crushed by the talk of buying a Clio!

Maybe see you in 1 vehicle or another at some gatherings later in the year
