Flat spot Fabia 1.2 HTP 6v

Featured Replies

My father's got an intermittent issue with his 09 plate Fabia - a purchase recommended by me (I am on my second Octy).

Around 3000 rpm the revs seem to die/or remain static, especially when climbing hills of a certain gradient. Having driven it myself it is not the sensation of the small engine "running out of puff" but a definite fault.

It is now on its fourth visit to the dealer, VAGCOM previously hinted that it may be the anti-knock sensor (this has been replaced), otherwise no error reports recorded. The mechs couldn't get the car to replicate the fault :thumbdwn:

Has anyone experienced similar or got any ideas.

Update

All sorted. Turned out to be a fractured wire in the engine bay loom. Hopefully a one off!

Now it works the 60 horses seem to pull it along well :smirk:
