Is Google down ?

Featured Replies

So why is it this link works, but I can't access my normal home page Google ?

Mega :confused::confused::confused:

Thats going direct to the IP address of google servers, rather than using DNS to look the IP address up, hence the suggestion to clear/reset the DNS servers.

Why just google is having issues I don't know though.

Maybe Google just doesn’t like you

It'll have to join the queue :o

As already said, the link I gave you was a direct IP address, not a DNS lookup.

This suggests you have DNS issues.

First port of call would be to do as I said, then turn off your router and give it 15 minutes before bringing everything back up. Could be your ISP having DNS issues, but that's pretty rare for just one site.

Still broken eh?! As said, very odd that it's just one site and that it's also Google, which is usually pretty well behaved.

You done a router reboot then? And is it still the same? You're with Virgin are you, as you mentioned running their AV product? Maybe worth checking with them, or on their site, to see if they're reporting any DNS issues today.
