I want to remove errors by recoding the controller so it's not looking at rear switches.....Is this possible ?

Not one I've seen before, but seems to be that the controller is carrying coding for a Fabia with 4x EW (likely to be Elegance coding as that was the only Fabia, in early revisions, to come with them).

Best I can suggest is to look at some coding from a normal Fabia with 2x EW and adapt the coding that way.

I'll see if I've got some '46' coding about anywhere for my old Fabia, and you can then compare it with yours.

Nope, sorry had a look and I don't have any coding to hand...

I can probably get you some, but would be a couple of weeks. Best to find someone with a Fabia and VCDS who can provide it.

I did have a problem when I 1st got the car with the drivers door window not working correctly (see one of my previous posts), whilst the stealers were repairing it they broke something on the passanger window......wondering if they didn't code it correctly?

I'm pretty sure that'll be it; I was going to ask you if there'd be any change in coding previously.

You might be able to work it out within 46, with VCDS. Never needed to do anything with windows though, so not sure.

I see you're fairly local, you could come down to the monthly NW meet (1st Sun of each month) and there'll be someone there with VCDS.

The coding options are all listed in the relevant label file named 6Q0-959-433-. The coding part is below:

C00,Comfort System (J393) Coding

C01,00016 - Central Locking without Power Windows

C02,00064 - Central Locking with 2 Power Windows (Front)

C03,00256 - Central Locking with 4 power Windows (Front & Back)

C04,

C05,+00 - 2-Door with Selective (Single) Door Locking active

C06,+01 - Selective (Single) Door Locking inactive

C07,+02 - 4-Door

It would appear that your coding 00067 is correct, C02+C06+C07 (64+1+2) = 00067. Also your controller list is showing 3 door controllers, 1 right hand front and 2 left hand fronts - which is strange.

Usually when I come across Fabias that are showing faults with controllers that they don't have, I recode the Gateway (19) to exactly the same as it is, this forces a refresh of the controller installation list.

Just scanned again after recoding gateway (19) to 00014 as it was before, cleared DTC's in 46 .....this is what I got:

Have got it so it shows only 2 controllers, but codes not clearing :confused:

I think the stealers have fitted the wrong door control units, have a look at attached file.

If they have would I be able to get it sorted under warranty....problem is the dealer who fitted them (Chapelhouse Wigan) have gone, (no bloody wonder :thumbdwn:) they fitted them under warranty?

Ah of course! Yeah, looking at it the other way round! Just never occured to me that they'd manage to do that mind you

When did you have them done under warranty? Because there should be 'warranty on the warranty work' if you get me?

Worth checking with another dealer - I'd recommend Simpsons in Preston, for your part of the world. - or their Colne branch who I've used personally.

Proper controllers from a Fabia at a scrappers is about all I can think of now :(

Have you tried disconnecting the battery to reboot the convenience system?

Thanks Fordfan your scan of the 2 window fabia is simaliar to my scan but the TFK matches (controller =02, and door units =02)

on mine the controller is 02 but the door units are 3.1.......would this make a difference?

Disconnected battery (for abour 2hrs) as per Fordfans idea......Didn't work :(

Cleared DTC's in 46 (yet again), recoded 19 to same as before....switched off ignition

restarted vag-com checked 46.....hey presto they were still there...tried clear DTC's & got this:
