I've been doing a bit of research on this forum, but I just want to check that these are the right components I need for my head unit. My friend bought an ipod kit for his Octavia (same headunit), not sure which as I can't get hold of him, but he had to disconnect the cd changer completely. I know its not a massive deal to lose the ability to use the cd changer when you have an IPOD plugged in, but it would annoy me.

I'm not sure what the model/version my head unit is, it simply says SkodaAuto STREAM on it. I don't have Maxidot, or a multifunction steering wheel, or a bluetooth capability, either. Here are the parts that look like they will do the job, and be simple to retro fit.

Dension 100 (or 300, but I don't need the USB input so the 100 will do)

I don't want to get a cradle incase the missus leaves her ipod on display, so I will get a cable (does one comes with it?) to route into the glovebox or center box or whatever is best. Ah this is it.

The CAN (text) versions cannot be used with the CD Changer retention kit. As you don't have Maxidot I guess that doesn't matter to you, but make sure you don't buy the CAN version.

It was one of your threads I got most of the infromation from, so would gladly buy the parts from you if you can advise which I need as I'm concerned I might buy the wrong bits - like the whole CAN thing, nothing about that on that website.
