Scotchguarded Seats th other day...

Featured Replies

Did my seats the other night there with the seat protector spray i got off Ebay, supposedly professional stuff, wasn't what i expected at all in terms of how the spray came out of the can. I thought it would be quite a watery type spray that would soak into the seats, but instead the stuff i used was more like a mist that came out and kind of settled on the seats, not even wetting them at all. It didn't state how long i had to wait before the seats would be protected, and as they weren't damp, I just presume that the mist has formed a barrier on the top layer of fabric? Am unsure as to whether they are properly protected. I did use a good bit of the can (its one of those large cans) Might have to give them another 'coat'...

I was looking at the scotchguard on ebay for my seats. Let us know how you get on

Just a thought, have you tried your local shoe shop? They'll have Scotchguard in aerosols.

mate, there a wate off time and money, your seats get dirty if your clothes are, use aerial on yourslef and you will have no problems

I think it's more a case of if food/drink gets spilt, rather than dirty clothes.

Steve

The Scotchguard Fabric Protector comes out as a mist & doesn't really wet the seats.

It says that you're not supposed to over-wet the area.

Also says to spray in a vertical movement & then in a horizontal movement.

Did mine & used nearly a full can on front & rear seats.
