i have just been reading on a different forum how all cars were designed to run on their original wheels and tyres. Just out of interest on the vRS what was the original tyre and was it anygood? I have searched the forum but cant find anything on it.

Mine had Continentals I think.

On my car, the original tyres were Continental ContiSportContact 205/50R17 W

They may have progressed to the ContSportContact2 or 3 model over the years though.

Contisport contacts 205/50/17 W same as Bodge (Robs is an estate that's why his were smaller)

Yeah, later cars came with the Sportcontact 2's in 205/50. They were the same spec as those on the front of the Porsche Boxster at the time as there were so few cars using that size although the number has now increased.
