Need New Tyres!! Whats Good?

Featured Replies

Well after only 16k Miles the cars standard tyres are running near enough about 3mm of tread on the front! Which am not very happy about. (Brigestone Foranza's)

So there for am on the hunt for a good tyre, Now it goes without saying has to be good in the wet, dry and have good wear!

I know the Conti Sport Contact is a great tyre. But not cheap!

Also the Uni Royal Rainsport 2 looks a very good tyre with some good reviews

Tyres are so so so so so so important in my eyes and there for I dont want to get a poor tyre. So peoples feelings and experinces would be very helpful to me.

Espically as am thinking of getting the car chipped very soon.

Thank youuuuuuu

Yey, another tyre thread! :woot:

;)

I have the Continental Sport Contact 2 on my 1.9 diesel Fabia and am pleased with them. I had Continental Premium Contacts on a previoius Fiesta and again was pleased with them. The Bridgestone Turanzas I had on a previous car were poor in my opinion - too noisy.

I have used both Tyre Shopper and Blackcircles in the past, both of whom are web based. Pleased with the service from both companies and they offered the best prices at the time. Hope this helps.

Remould budgets ftw....

I don't recommend blackcircles. I looked in yellow pages and phoned some local companies. I think u'll be surprised with the price variations. I'd also avoid some of the larger companies as they have large overheads and salaries to pay.

For example I found

Bridgestone ER30 at £57 local garage and £130 at National

Conti Prem 2 at £71 independent and approx £90+ at Kwik fit

Good year efficient grip - are these any good compared to other premium brands?
