Air Filter Dilema

Featured Replies

Ok wifey bought me an fleabay CAI for the vRS a few years ago which got bolted on eventually.

Thing is, it really good do with a new filter bolted to the end thing is which way do I go? Cheap fleabay jobbie? pros it cheap cons its cheap.

Or do I get something else if so what would you recommend and where from?

I looked at Fleabay at K & N but there either panel filters or complete kits at £90+ which I really cant justify at the forth coming rip off season.

And then theres the reusable filters??????

Im so

So here I stand waiting from the wealth of knowledge of the forum.

I got a green cone filter for mine from demon tweeks and was around £50 I think

i have a cheap fleabay cai on mine and using the filter they give me,tbh it works a treat, the car mapped with it on and got 215hp with it.

IS the filter on the end of it not a washable one?

I dont know is the answer

The filter that come with the ebay CAI is of poor quality and best change it for a K&N or Green filter.

can only see complete CAI on the K&N can anyone point me in the direction of just the filter from somewhere?

Yep don't use the filter with the Ebay kit. When I took my CAI off after a few thousand miles there was quite a lot of dust lining the TIP. I bought a hardly used pipercross from Ebay for about £14 inc delivery (Like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIPERCROSS-Open-Cone-Air-Filter-Induction-Kit-PK7000_W0QQitemZ200402655909QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2ea8eddaa5). I had to relocate the horn a little cause it's a big bugger .

Just measure the CAI neck size and and you shouldn't go wrong.
