I have an 07 L&K and on occasions have noticed that there is a red light showing on the drivers door (where there would usually be the push-pull button for locking the door. This light stays on even after unlocking and starting the engine - is this indicating a problem ?

Mine does this but its just down to me clicking too many times on the key fob when unlocking.Just lock and unlock again then it will go back to normal.Nothing to worry about.

If the light is on, then it indicates a fault with the alarm system. Locking and unlocking clears the fault as the system doesnt fully engage.

A "manual thanks" gadgetman as i was unaware of this also.
