Yes, it does indeed mean that. Many of the transponders need to be replaced as they can only be coded once but the price of an ebay key + a new blade and transponder is usually much cheaper than a new key from a dealer and much less to code by me :)

Hi Ben, is there a particular type of key with a certain frequency to buy?

I know to code 2nd hand keys using Vaux-Com i think they need to be of a specific frequency.

Not a stupid question at all :) Yes your keys do need to be recoded and while Skoda have to do them with an online connection, I can do them using your Secret Key Code (SKC) which I will retrieve from your car.

hmmm, can you do Audis? My wife has a 2002 A3 and one of the keys has died. Audi want well over £100 for a new one :dull:
