Disabling Double Click

Featured Replies

Can it be done? My car was on Vagcom tonight at a garage my mate works at so wasn't the home version was the full on Vag tech system one. My mate looked and looked but couldn't find it to disable it! He's enabled autolock/unlock and the beep when the cars locked/unlocked aswell as clearing my maf sensor fault so no more cel :) But i hate the double unlock function with a passion and want it turned off! Can it be done? Surely theirs a way!?

Yea, when you press the button though it unlocks all 4 doors...Then you can set it so it autolocks all doors above 10mph...As for the settings, I got them last time from searching these forums!

It can be done, i don't think it's the same principle as changing the 0's to 1's like the beep etc.. Someone with more knowledge will come along shortly :)

The way these forums are atm i find it easier to ask lol

It's all set up for locking and unlocking when above 10mph and when stopped and key removed. I missed that feature as my Stilo had it and my 182 and i enabled it on my Mondeo. Brilliant feature

Just the damned annoying double click to unlock all 4 doors! :(

To disable Auto Locks...Turn on ignition, start up VAG-COM...Go to "Select control module" from the main menu.Select "46 - Central conv."Click on "Adaption - 10"Press "Up" next to channel number and watch for "Auto Lock" at the top. When found Auto Lock, set "New Value" to '0' from '1' click "Test" then "Save"Press "Up" next to channel number and watch for "Auto Unlock" at the top. When found Auto Unlock, set "New Value" to '0' from '1' click "Test" then "Save"Then click "Done, Go Back"Remove key from ignition then the next time you start up those annoying locks won't bother you.To disable Selective Unlocking...Turn on ignition, start up VAG-COM...Go to "Select control module" from the main menu.Select "46 - Central conv."Click on "Recode - 07"The number in at present will be a even number, add one to that number to make it an odd number then click "Do It".Remove keys from ignition and lock the car - the next time you go to unlock pressing the unlock button will unlock everything.

any better?

Wow that is in a major block writing. :P

Selective Unlocking:

[select]

[46 - Cent. Conv.] (35 - Cent. Locking for manual window cars)

[Recode - 07]

Write down the existing coding for future reference.

Enter 5-digit code from below

[Do It!]

Look at the existing Soft. Coding. If you have selective unlocking (press the unlock button on the remote once to open the driver's door, twice to open all the doors) the last digit of your coding should be an even number. To make all doors unlock, add 1 to the coding.

So, if you have a 2-door 2002 GTI that is coded for selective unlocking (00064) add one to make it 00065 so that all doors unlock with one press of the unlock button.

You might find it a bit annoying to have to press the button twice, but I think you'd be even more annoyed to find a car jacker or bag/laptop/package thief jump in through one of the other doors as its unlocked and swipe your valuables! This does happen every day of the week! From a crime prevention point of view - don't have it unlocking all doors on a single click, - but full marks for activating the auto lock feature!

Also, for settings and guidance remember about Stu's excellent Fabia website:

Tbh i only open the other doors when i'm at my gf's as we need to get the kids in but in general i do hate the double click and would still regardless rather have it off

I don't carry any valuable in my car anyways as it's just a daily hack and hardly moves these days. And if a car jacker wants the car they are more than welcome to it thats what i pay insurance for and i get a new car out it

SWMBO actually asked for anti-hijack and single door as soon as she knew it was available.

Bro-in-law is a copper, and handbag (single women in cars, bag in footwell or on seat) and boot thefts are going up round here.

My boot has my good jacket in it a scissor jack and thats about it lol

I hate clutter in my cars so try to keep my boot empty. Compared to how my previous cars have been with my toolboxes and sub

But when you've got a girlfriend with 2 kids and a nephew to get carted about i need boot space now otherwise i'd happily have a 350Z or something with only 2 seats

Had my ST500 Fiesta stripped out and loved it as i hate back seat passengers. The girlfriends kids and my nephew are great just now cos they're not big enough to get in the way of my rear view mirror lol

I'll remove it for you, If you hate it that much!
