EPC Light and Wont Start

Featured Replies

Hey,

Im currently at Uni and so my car only gets driven a couple of times a month to the shops then once a month to and from home (140m round trip).

On Saturday whilst at the shops i helped a lady jump start her car with jumper cables, after this my car started fine and i drove back to my accommodation. However today i try to start it and it sounds like a flat battery with the engine trying to turn over but the epc light is also remaining on, would this suggest a simple flat battery or something more serious?

Cheers for any help.

does sound like a flat battery, maybe get the lady to jump start your car

Battery is most likely, especially with the colder weather we are having. Once they go they don't really recover, so you'll probably need to buy a new one. Nothing worse than a weak battery in winter weather.

Thanks for the replies, i had forgotten that my car did this a fair bit last winter and so ive ordered a new battery. The garage came out and jump started me for free which was nice :)
