the s type r if you read was at the wheels..... they couldnt get the clutch hp, hence the s type r, 4.2 v8 supercharged..... if you read my post you could have seen that. plus if i'd have meant a 4.2 litre v8 i wouldn't call it an R. same with the xjrs and the bmw, all at the wheel and NOT the clutch like everyone else is posting. compare the wheel bhp, or add 20-22% on for the clutch power from a rwd car at the wheels. (think this is right! a guy told me at the rr... didnt catch his name but was a decent fella!)

Wardy you were right, they were havin problems with it wanting to kickdown all the time.

the xjrs le mans celebratory quoted at 293bhp from when new. Its a 5.3 V12.
