Hello all

I have been a driver of Mondeos for the last few years ( Mondeo 2.0 litre diesel Ghia and now Mondeo 2.2 diesel litre Titanium X, before that Vectra SRi). I have finally taken the plunge and am buying an Octavia VRs TDI so I thought I'd join the forum - so - Hello from Swindon. I am a new to all of this so please be gentle with me LOL!

Hello all

I used to live near Swindon (Fairford), I got my Fabia vRS from Fish Brothers up there.

Picked up the car today and it's a beauty. Like most VRS it's a beautiful race blue and goes like a dream.

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter

So had both rear control arms replaced as the bolt was seized so I couldnt get the tracking done..now the tracking place say they can't get the camber inside spec because there is no adjustment for that and it will be OK as toe is good now.. Have attached the results.. Is the camber adjustment not this bolt in the pic..(which stands a chance is seized aswell)

I know that i have posted in 3-4 other topics the photos of my modified console (in various stages) but i think it's proper to have them all in one topic plus informations for the step by step procedure. Maybe another member will read it and try to modify his or someone can find via Google Search the photos and have an inspiration.
