130PD ECU

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the ECU number is for this?

And if you can use an another from another car apart from an Octavia, ie and audi golf and so on?

And what id have to do to it to get it to work on my exsisting car?

The reason i ask is im having mine remapped but i want to keep the original ECU should i want to put it back to normal.

You're making a lot of work for yourself, it can be done but it would be much easier to use something like http://www.sharkperformance.co.uk/sts.asp and return your car back to standard when you're done, plus the unit can be reused :)

Yeah i know but if i can get a second hand ecu then it will only be £150 at the most.

The reason behind me doing this is because im going to build a 4x4n VRS with the 130pd engine in and tuned to 240bhp ish! but i dont want to waste money in the mean time getting the ecu remapped now when its going to be done again once the car is fully built.

Plus ive got a remap for under £100 so i dont really want to spend £400 odd quid on a remap which is only going to get re done again in a few months, maybe 6!

This way i get a stock ecu and have mine remaped now for minium cost.

Well you need an ECU that has the same hardware and software numbers as yours and to adapt it to the car, or copy your ECU onto another one, or kill the immobiliser on the new one, or a combination of all three. The easiest for you is probably to get an identical ECU and have the immobiliser killed. If you find an ECU I can kill the immobiliser for you if you post it to me.
