I need to know please from any owners of the pd vrs that when you switch the ignition on all lights go out except the battery, handbrake and seatbelt (if you havent put it on). I ask as i need to know if the exhaust warning light goes out before you start up. Mine doesnt untill you start the engine and i can't recall it being like that.

Mike, he only wanted to hear from PD vRS owners... obviously the opinion of people with higher spec cars (like ours!! ) doesn't count!

nah i know some octavias are different so thats why i asked for pd vrs as mine is a pd vrs not a cr, e.g. they might be different i don't know. Just that i can't recall the yellow warning light staying on and the other lights go out coupled with my crap fuel economy.

Some folk are just far too picky....

I appreciate the PD bit... but why limit yourself to only wanting responses from vRS owners? You've ruled out replies from some of the most techie folk on here who could easily answer your question but alas, they don't own a vRS & you've effectively asked them not to reply.

But this is a query about the exhaust warning light, so only applicable to DPF equipped cars, i.e. the vRS diesels.
