Seat Ibiza Chill to a Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hello to Briskoda Members, I am a Memebr of The Fiat Forum & I drive a Grande Punto 1.9 MJet re-mapped to 196Bhp with 263 ft lbs torque.

Thought I'd mention that as my daughter now also fancies a turbo-diesel for the performance & economy, and fancies a Fabia vRS, I was recomended to this site by a friend on here called Sharkrider who also runs a similar Fiat to myself.

Any hints & tips or warnings on buying a used vRS with 60k+ miles would be appreciated, Sharkrider has mentioned a couple of useful tips so feel free to shout up, I dont expect perfection, just to know what to expect, not many around but you guys are the real world knowledge base so fire away!

Welcome to Brisky :hi:

Welcome :)

What are you thinking of spending? Probably best to start a fresh thread in the Fabia I section, to get the best response

  • Check that the Cambelt and waterpump etc has been replaced IIRC VAG recommend 4yrs or 60k for the Fabia.
Consle bushes are prone to wearing.
Check for clutch slip (more so if it's ever been mapped)
Drivers seat are prone to fraying
Leaky rear doors - wet carpets in rear seat wells
    Rear wiper prone to failing

My 2003/03 Fabia vRS is just shy of 130k now so 60k+ I would think there'll be a decent amount of mileage left in it!!

Hello :)

Welcome to the Forum, my Fabia is at 110k now and still goes very well, due to company car rules I am having to change it, I don't know if the high miles will hinder the sale but we will see, I've had most the work done listed above on the car....
