Over the last few days, basically since it's become frosty, in the morning when turning the car on the Engine Coolant light goes on - and the stereo yesterday showed a message saying it wasn't possible to get the outside temperature. So I switched the car off, then back on and everything was fine. This has happened 2 days in a row, yet I never had this problem in my old vRS when it was freezing cold...Is this normal now? The manual doesn't really give any useful info...

Cant really help with the Octavia but my fabia has done this a few times in a "cold snap". Same story start up light comes on, turn off and restart and it does not come back. Its done it for the last 3 years in sudden cold spells or cold weather when its not been used for abit (say 2 weeks).
