Hi everybody

after reading this forum for about two months with no membership thought it should be about time to actually sign up.

It was good to find you guys seems that i'm not the only skoda owner out there with a multitude of problems, I've recently had my parents fabia passed down to me after my mother got a new lease skoda (one of those greenline 1.4 estates :wonder: ) but my parents being my parents the thing is in a bit of a state. Instead of fixing things as they break they just seem to let them rack up and then when it finally fails the MOT scap it. Probably sounds like sacralidge to you guys.

Still onwards and upwards, I've read quite abit about all the fault on here and over the last few months i must say my emotions have been from relieved from finding info to dread from cost to horror from similar tales to finally sod it just get out in the christmas cold and fix the bloody thing. here's the list though just for everyones amusment at how i shall be spending part of my precious break from work.

• Wishbone bush failure
  
• turbo failure / MAF? unconfirmed but quite a bit of the old black juice in the pipes, no fault code from MAF (codes when unplugged (but doesn't light up dash), and performance increases)
  
• interior leaks (assuming door seals)
  
• revering window switches (sitches, No?)
  
• alarm with a mind of its own (hoping sensor above interior light)
  
• no fault codes showing, is it a good thing?
  
• radio failure (rip it out, fit a replacement)
  
• two new tyres (possible chamber due to bushes and poor mechanics work in the past)
  
• cv joint (just to add to the list)
  
• seems to have quite a pressure from the filler too :S

I'd say the MAF is faulty then. Welcome.
