hi all ive searched a few times but cant seem to find the answer. i bought a second hand alpine cd player from the ebay ive plugged it in with the 2 connectors that are fitted to the car only thing ive not plugged in is the aerial. basically the green light comes on by the cd tray but nothing else works. have i bought a shagged unit or am i doing something wrong? im reading something about bullets i have a few of those on the wiring loom and a little fuse compartment. any help much appreciated and sorry if the answer is mega easy to find.

You may have to reverse the permanent live and switched live, though it should work even if they are the wrong way, provided the ignition is on.

it doesnt accept cds or power up except for the green backlighting.so im guessing it works but something fooked.im not sure what wires need to be swapped:/ are there any guides ect?

right then. ive got power to the unit now by swapping the yellow and red around. result. but now the headunit is constantly on? any ideas?
