The alarm on my Roomy can be triggered by giving the car a good shake.

Maybe someone was testing your alarm in the same way before trying to break in - and legged it.

Highly desirable car, you know!

It happened to me last week. About 2:30am, there was no wind, but it was cold (not sure of exact temperature). However, it has not happened since and it has been pretty cold. I concluded it could have been a fox or other animal, until I read your post.

Check for spiders in your car, often trigger interior sensors. If no spiders, leave your air control on recirculate, turn heater dial to warm and close the air vents. That usually stops unwanted alarms.

Many thanks for your quick responses dont think I have any spiders but a thought for the future should it happen again will also try switching the heater controls in the meantime will sleep with the keys just in case I have to cancel the the alarm again at 3am

My alarm went off in the first week but at a more reasonable time in the morning. I put it down to the wind we were having that day.

Thanks ;)

Not had an alarm before only immobilizer so perhaps i have to get used to the occasional false alarm.

Was it the beans? :giggle:

Quite a few alarms do not like the cold for some reason....
