Greenline Estate...?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a Greenline estate and wondered what peoples experience of them have been so far....?

Thanks

Graham

They're stupid. Just get a 1.6 diesel SE or preferably Elegance. They're like 1mpg down on the Greenline.

I believe the term is Greenwash.

There are (small) differences: longer 4th and 5th gear, other tires, lowered suspension. In Belgium and Holland you get a (small) tax reduction. I don't know whether this is the case in the UK. If not, go for the (identical engine!) 1.6 cr and count your savings. Mpg is only marginally better with the Greenline. (And: in Belgium not to be combined with factory fixed tow-bar.)

It's in the same tax band as the normal 1.6CR in the UK.

I have one as a work vehicle and find it a reasonable/good replacement for the 1.9TDi I had for 3 years.

The ICE is better if a little fiddly to hit the right part of the screen whilst moving (probably against the law by now). Accepts SD & SDHC cards up to 32Gb (if you can afford them).

The ride is a little soft for my liking especially when carrying a lot of work gear like I do. I pretty much always scrape on roads humps :(

Comes with cruise as standard and my company went crazy and paid extra for rear sensors which work very well.

On the move it is fairly nifty in the first 3 gears but doesn't like to accelerate in either 4th or 5th. I often have to drop a gear if going up a reasonable hill.

Not too bad in the snow, at least compared to the rear wheel drive thing I have had to leave on the drive since 23/12

Hope this helps - any questions just shout up.
