Cassette Tape onto CD

Featured Replies

I've got an old tape from years back that I really like but I don't have a tape player anymore!

Does anyone know if it's possible to get it put onto a CD?

Cheers :)

Easy to do bud, do you have any hi-fi seperates you can connect up with some audio leads? if you're struggling drop me a PM and I'll do it for you one night at work - you'll have to post me the cassette though.

Or, get a 3.5 to 3.5mm headphone lead - take it from the tape (or record etc) output into the microphone port on the PC. Use a programme like Audacity (<< is free and works fine) to record the input, and then export as mp3 or whatever. Only issue is you have to wait for the duration of the tape, and cut the songs manually, but worked for all my Dads records and the leads are on eBay for about £1.

I don't have a single tape player I can even take an output from :D

Geordie, I might have to send you a PM mate... Thanks mate!

You can buy from Maplin, a usb single cassette player for £29.99. Just looks like an old sony walkman connected to a usb lead, hope this helps mate.
